Refund Policy

Booking:  For all portrait sessions, a non-fundable Booking Retainer Fee is required to book and hold the date for your session and serves as a cancellation fee.  However, if the Client needs to reschedule, the fee will be credited towards a future session upon the Photographer’s approval.  All remaining balances are due at the time of the session.  For wedding or event packages, a 30% retainer is due immediately to book and hold the date of the event and also serves as a cancellation fee.  The remaining balance is due two (2) weeks prior to the date of the event.

 

Payment:  All scheduled sessions can be paid via cash or check.  Any uncleared check will have an additional charge of $35.00 to cover bank fees.  Online purchases of printed materials can be paid via Visa or MasterCard via my website and must be paid for at the time of purchase.

 

Cancellation / Refund Policy:  For portrait session cancellations by the Client prior to two weeks before the scheduled session, any Booking Retainer Fees paid will be refunded to the Client.  Cancellation by the Client within two weeks of the scheduled date without rescheduling will result in the forfeiture of any Booking Retainer Fees paid.  As previously stated, this fee can be credited towards a future session if the client reschedules the session by contacting me 48 hours prior to the date of session.  Failure to arrive on the part of the Client will result in the forfeiture of the Booking Retainer Fee.

 

For weddings and events, if for any reason the Client cancels before the wedding date, the Event Retainer Fee paid to hold the wedding or event date will be forfeited as a cancellation fee.  Cancellation must be made in writing by mail or e-mail.  However, if the Client requests to change the event date, I will do my best to accommodate the change and no fee will be charged as long as the new date is available and within six months of the original event date.   If I am not available for the new date, the original contract will be cancelled and subject to this cancellation policy.

 

If RAFink Photography cannot perform this contract due to fire or casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Photographer’s illness or emergency, then the Photographer will return the Booking Retainer Fee to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the Contract.  This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or other media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer.

 

As RAFink Photography provides irrevocable goods in the form of digital files, refunds are not provided once the digital downloads have been received by the Client.
